Our clear cold containers are made from the Ingeo™ brand of polylactic acid (PLA) bioplastic produced from renewable feedstocks such as corn, cassava, sugar cane or beets. PLA has the ability to be processed in different forms, retaining the functional properties of conventional plastic, but leaves oil in the ground and creates opportunities for diverting waste from landfills in closed-loop environments. Available from 240ml to 700ml, there’s a bowl ideal for deli items, ready made meals and more. Lids are sold separately.

Shelf life: Our bioplastic products have a 12-month shelf life from date of purchase. Store bioplastics out of direct sunlight and below 35°C. Incorrect storage reduces product stability and shelf life.

Industrial Composting

Our clear containers and lids are certified compostable to the ASTM D6400 standards for industrial composting, verified by BPI, which requires the compostable product to:

1) disintegrate after 12 weeks, and

2) completely biodegrade after six months. (This means that 90% or more of the material will have been converted to CO2. The remaining share is converted into water and biomass – i.e. valuable compost.)
