Outside of Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland, composting infrastructure for organics collections is fragmented and regional limitations exist. We believe it is our responsibility to drive the industry forward, advancing the diversion of organic materials from landfill, which is vital to achieving the government's vision for 2050 as a low-emissions, low-waste society.

At a time when cities are beginning to take responsibility for their waste and public pressure demands climate action, it’s crucial we support composters in diverting organic matter, including compostables, from landfill. We believe that by investing in diversion from landfills and incinerators, we’re investing and reinvesting those resources in the local economy.
